4th
National Community Development Camp (COMDECA) held at Cox’s Bazar from 3rd
March to 7th March 2007. COMDECA Theme was - “Scouting for Conservation of Bio-Diversity”. COMDECA site was at near Cox’s Bazar sea beach. 2nd March 2007, Press & Publication Sub Committee
of COMDECA organizes a Press Conference at Cox’s Bazar Press Club premises.
Local and National Journalist attended the conference. Mr. Jahangir
Habibullah, Editor, The Agradoot and NEC Member conduct the press conference. A total of 3,319 Scouts, Rovers, Leaders and Officials from all
over Bangladesh were attended the COMDECA. Dr. Shah Mohammad Farid, President of Bangladesh Scouts,
officially inaugurated COMDECA on 3rd March at 4.00PM. Professor Dr. Wakil
Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of National University was the special guest. Chief
National Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts Mr. M. Fazlur Rahman presided over
the inaugural ceremony. Participant Scout and Rovers attended a total of 8
challenges-the COMDECA activities. Such as 1.

Camp Fire 8.
Central Exhibition During COMDECA period Scouts and Rovers visited Maheshkhali
Island and took par community development activities. The whole COMDECA Scouts and Rovers took part many activities related to sea water
and community based development work at Cox’s Bazar and Maheshkhali. There are 13 governmental and Non-governmental Organization
attended COMDECA with their activities exhibition at Central exhibition
premises. Apart from COMDECA programme, scouts and rovers visited Dula
Hazra Safari Park, a Natural Reserve and Himchari. 7th March 2007, COMDECA declared closed by Chairman,
COMDECA Organizing Committee and Chief National Commissioner Mr. M. Fazlur
Rahman, while National Commissioner (Community Development & Health) Mr.
Mihir Kanti Majumder presided over the ceremony. |
